Description

The MelodySusie PM170F is a cordless nail drill shaped like a pen that reaches 30,000 rpm. It is lighter and smaller than an electric toothbrush, so you hold it the way you hold a pen rather than the way you hold a machine.

That shape is the difference with a drill that has a separate handpiece: there is no cable between your hand and the body, and you turn the nail without anything pulling along. A spring construction in the motor keeps vibration low and the overload protection eases off when you press too hard. Give it a rest after twenty minutes of continuous work.

This nail drill:

  • reaches 30,000 rpm in a body the size of a pen
  • works cordless, so nothing runs between your hand and the nail
  • vibrates very little thanks to the spring construction in the motor
  • eases off under overload, so the motor does not stall
  • comes with six bits and sanding bands, restocked at tools and accessories
  • suits gel, acrylic, dip powder and your own nail
  • is cruelty free

How to use

  1. Charge the drill fully before the first use.
  2. Click the bit you want into place and check that it is seated properly.
  3. Hold the drill the way you hold a pen and start on a low setting.
  4. Build up the speed once you know how much resistance there is.
  5. Take a break after twenty minutes of continuous work.
  6. Catch the filing dust with a dust collector and clean the bits after every use.

Questions (3)

Can I handle a nail drill if I have never used one?

Yes, as long as you start on the lowest speed and only go up once you feel how much resistance there is. Keep the drill moving and do not stay on one spot, because that is where the heat builds up. If you work on your own nail, stay off the nail plate and use the drill mainly along the cuticle. You will find more nail drills and matching bits at the nail accessories.

Can I remove gel polish and acrylic with this?

Yes, that is what a drill is for. Take off the top layer with a coarser bit and switch to a finer one as soon as you reach the base layer, so you do not file into your own nail. The last bit of residue comes off better with a remover than with the drill. Separate bits and sanding bands are at the nail accessories.

Can I keep working with it without a break?

Take a break after twenty minutes of continuous work so the motor can cool down. If you notice the drill getting warm or slowing down, stop sooner. If you want to work longer at a stretch, look at a model with a bigger battery at the nail drills.
