These filters sit on top of the skin and are often well tolerated by sensitive or reactive skin. Modern formulas are much lighter than they used to be and are less likely to leave a white cast. Mineral or chemical filters?
Chemical filters absorb UV rays and often have a very light, transparent texture. Mineral filters reflect and scatter light and are usually gentler on the eyes and sensitive skin. If you’re prone to redness or have a sensitive skin barrier, mineral sunscreen is a logical choice. Pair it with a soothing serum or skincare with centella.
